HIP HOP DANCE COMPANIES

Our Hip Hop Companies are taught in a clean and grounded West Coast style.  Moves and music are age appropriate.  Costuming is in very good taste and focus is on the movement quality.  Our companies are comprised of two teams:  JCru and Hip Hop Co.  Selection is based on skill level, but age is a consideration as well.  Auditions for companies are in May, but please call the office for more information and the possibility to audition at a different time.

Both companies learn choreography in August and begin competing and performing in the fall.  Companies attend conventions and local competitions, and locations vary from year to year.  Our hip hop companies have performed at the Austin Spurs Half Time and Pre Game, local festivals, high school basketball games, and high school productions as guest performers.  In addition, companies perform all choreography in our spring show in May.

Awards and Recognition:

  • Hip Hop Co. – High Golds for all performances at 24/7 convention, 1st Place Awards at all competitions in spring season 2016.
  • JCru – Specialty Hip Hop Award at ASH Convention, Most Entertaining and Best Technique at Vista Ridge HS Dance Competition, 1st and 2nd place awards at all competitions in spring season 2016.
